As readers of my blog will know, in addition to writing erotic fiction, I also greatly enjoy exploring and discussing the world of erotica, and sex and literary journalism. In my sidebar are an array of ‘Recommended’ sites including erotic fiction, erotic photography, other art, and journalism. These sources, which I read weekly, are a wonderful place to gather information and find inspiration.
However, by reading almost exclusively online, I am limited in what I can explore. To truly delve into topics such as gender, kink, sex education, relationships, politics, and literature (to name a few) I have to read elsewhere. Unfortunately ‘elsewhere’ usually means books, and books cost money.
As a student (English Literature, BA), I don’t have a great deal of money to spend on books outside of my course reading lists, so I often miss out on a huge amount of sex writing (etc.) which I cannot afford. This can make it very difficult for me to explore interests outside of my course.
So I have come up with a scheme which, I hope, will help me to continue research that will go into articles and papers, whilst giving a little back to my readers personally: in exchange for the books I need, I am offering personalised/commissioned pieces of erotic fiction.
How it will work
- Readers visit my Research Wishlist.
- When a reader purchases something from my wishlist, s/he can notify me by emailing [email protected] with the subject line: Tit For Tat.
- When the item arrives, I will contact her/him and we will go over the details of what kind of written commission s/he would like in return.
- Readers will have a choice as to whether the commissioned piece be published on (It Girl. Rag Doll)* and dedicated to them (with a link if desired), or sent to her/him privately as a PDF.
*In case of commissions that deal with more extreme/taboo/illegal practises I may not be able to publish them on my site. This will be discussed before I write the piece.

At present I am still compiling my wishlist, so if anyone has any suggestions on books that might be of interest to me, I would greatly appreciate a comment including the book title and author!
All enquiries can be made either as a comment, below, or by emailing me on [email protected]
